Rev. Dave Pullen
A Word From The Pastor
Church is the new community of believers who have been given the purpose of connecting people with Jesus Christ. Tallahassee First Church is just such a church with just such a purpose. Our desire is to help people enter into a relationship with our Creator and live out that relationship in our world today. That relationship with Jesus will bring meaning to a meaningless existence. It will bring peace to a stressful life. It will bring hope to a hopeless situation. A relationship with Jesus will radically transform us into what God intended for our lives. We want to connect with Jesus! It makes all the difference in the world!

How I Came To Christ
It was in the evening of March 21, 1976, while in the US Air Force in Hampton, VA. My pastor, Rev. C.V. Spaulding, gave the invitation for 'anyone big enough to trust this Jesus!' The Holy Spirit convicted me of my sinfulness and convinced me of my hope that I could be forgiven through faith in Jesus Christ. I said 'yes' while kneeling at the altar and asked Jesus to forgive me of my sin and to help me daily live as He wanted. He is my Lord and Savior. He has filled me with His Holy Spirit and also called me into full-time ministry. I am living in a right relationship with Him as He continues to guide my life by the Holy Spirit.
Things The Lord Is Teaching Me
God is teaching me to trust His plans for our family and for our church. He said through the prophet Jeremiah, "'For I know the plans I have for you', declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future'" (Jeremiah 29:11). God also continues to teach me Christ-centered leadership coupled with a biblical understanding of His church. God wants to do great things through the people of Tallahassee First Church of the Nazarene.
"God can do anything (except fail) you know -- far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, His Spirit deeply and gently within us" (Ephesians 3:20, The Message).
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28, NIV).
"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4, NIV).
